Luis Vergara is a Director of Sales and Trading with Mission. His responsibilities include business development, trading, project management and oversight of on-site due diligence initiatives. Mr. Vergara has extensive domestic and international experience in investment banking, private equity and business development.
Prior to joining Mission, Mr. Vergara served as Director of Business Development for PayQuik, a financial services company that provides electronic payments solutions for U.S. and international financial institutions. He also worked as a Senior Associate for Tower Hill Capital Group (THCG), Inc., where he participated in advisory, capital raising and private equity transactions in excess of $300 million. Prior to THCG, Mr. Vergara worked as an Associate in the Corporate Finance group of Santander Investment Securities Inc., the brokerage and investment banking arm of Banco Santander Central Hispano. During his tenure there, he was involved in public equity offerings and M&A transactions totaling over $950 million.
Mr. Vergara also worked for CIBC World Markets as a Financial Analyst in the International Investment Banking group and as a Loan Manager on the High Yield/Emerging Markets trading desk. While at CIBC, he participated in equity and high yield debt public offerings, private placements, M&A transactions and the trading of distressed debt, the aggregate of which represented in excess of $1.2 billion. Mr. Vergara received his Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, from the University of Virginia and MBA in Finance and Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently studying Real Estate Finance and Investment at New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
